Today sees the release of Metric's iTunes Originals session in the UK and Europe. The exclusive session was recently recorded off the cuff and live off the floor at East West Studios in Los Angeles and features extended versions of a few of Metric's live concert classics, as well as stripped-down tracks and new arrangements. Other songs - like Metric's take on Buffalo Springfield’s “Expecting to Fly” - expand Metric’s usual musical palette with the addition of a string quartet led by Todor Kobakov. The result is a live album which includes 8 songs and a serious 30 minute interview with the band.

Metric's iTunes session can be accessed in UK/EU at this link.

And in case you missed it the last time around, here's new(ish) video for "Expecting To Fly".
