Letters from December 2009

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays and New Year from all of us to you and yours!

Well, well, well...

Its been a hell of a year hasn't it?!  It was a year of firsts for us. First album released on our own label, first time in the top twenty of US radio, first time meeting Spinal Tap, first time playing next to La Roux at a dance music festival in Australia, first time meeting John Paul Jones and on and on.

What? Yes.  To celebrate it all we've made what looks like a crazy ball of yarn on a map.  No, it's not your favorite internet search "cats gone wild", it's actually a retrospective of our 2009 touring schedule.  Makes us dizzy just looking at it.  So which line were you on? The blue? The purple? Did you mix the two and can't remember?  Well we were on all of them!

Take a look at the crowd shots below and maybe you'll spot yourself screaming!  So many full-on experiences and now it's all over.  But before we shake that etch-a-sketch clean and send ourselves off to places unknown for a little holiday privacy, we wanna thank all of you, from Jaime who brought us sobering tales from Cambodia to Anthony who drove six hours to catch us in Atlanta.  You have all been amazing in your undying support of us and our goal to bring you great music and a happening good time!  We thank you, from the bottom of our collective Metric heart.  Everybody have a great holiday and rest up, cause we're gonna do it all again in 2010!

Vote For “Sick Muse” on Triple J!

Hey everyone,

It’s been a great year thanks to you guys!

As a nice way to send off the year, Triple J in Australia (an incredible community radio station in Australia who was one of the first to put Help I’m Alive on the air after it leaked on the internet last December) has nominated several of our songs as contenders to make their Hottest 100 of 2009 list!

The station has been really good to us this year and we’d really like to show them how much we appreciate it by having you vote for our song Sick Muse.

The top 100 songs as voted by the public will make it on Triple J’s Australia Day countdown.

If you would like to help us make the list, you can vote HERE

Thank you!

Happy Holidays!

Thank you, USA!

Hey Everyone!

We just wanted to say thank you for making this tour a sweet success!  Thanks to everyone who came out to the shows, and shout-outs to those who entered the Twitter and VIP mailing list contests we set up along the way. If your name is below, we’re so happy you won, and hope you had a blast!
